Between October 2 and November 26, 2017, 2,300 Edenred employees ran, walked or cycled a total of 300,000 km. The idea was very simple. All they had to do was visit an online platform, where they formed teams and connected to a smartphone, a bracelet or a watch.

€30,000 collected for Make-A-Wish®
Thanks to the support of Edenred and its 300,000 km, Make-A-Wish® can invite three sick children to spend some unforgettable time with their families.
“By expressing a wish and then seeing it come true, these children can develop their resilience. For many of them, making their wish come true represents a major turning point in their fight against illness. This experience will give them renewed optimism that will help both the children and their families in the hardest times”, points out professor Alain Pierre-Kahn, Make-A-Wish® President.
Bertrand Dumazy, Edenred Group Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, handed over the donation to Make-A-Wish, represented by its Chairman, Professor Alain Pierre-Kahn, former header of pediatric neurosurgery at the Necker hospital in Paris.
About Make-A-Wish®
In the 1980s, the Make-A-Wish® foundation drew its inspiration from the story of Chris Grecius, a 7-year old child suffering from leukemia. Officers from the Arizona police department made his wish come true by giving him a uniform, a helmet and a badge, and taking him for a ride in a helicopter. Since then, Make-A-Wish® has made more than 415,000 wishes come true all over the world. Make-A-Wish® lights up the lives of children aged between 3 and 17, who are suffering from serious illnesses, by making their dearest wishes come true: swimming with dolphins, visiting Disneyland, meeting a celebrity, etc.
